KEEP GOING!
My name is Laura Sabás, and I’m 20. Now, I’m studding Primary and pre-Primary education at the university (Universitat Rovira i Virgili) in Tarragona. I’m doing the English minor because for many years I wanted to be an English teacher, but if I have to tell the truth, my main goal as a teacher is to work in a hospital, teaching all the children that are hospitalized.
Apart from English, that is one of my hobbies since I was young, I also love music. I started to study music when I was
8, and at the age of 12, I started playing the clarinet. Nowadays, I’m in a wind music band and I also play in a clarinet quartet. The reason what I am still playing the clarinet is not only because I love music (because I really love it! Imagine… I have a tattoo of a treble clef), but because I have met a lot of people, because it’s amazing to play with more musicians and because when playing the clarinet, I forget about everything and I just enjoy myself.
I also dance Belly dancing, Bollywood and ZÃngaras (this dance is very similar to belly dancing but with a little difference: belly dancing is an Arabic dance, and ZÃngaras is from the Balkans. So, although the base is the same, ZÃngaras dance can be defined as the gipsy version of belly dancing). It has been 10 years since I started these dances and, in the same way as music, when I dance I don’t think about anything else.
