How would I provide an opportunity for all my learners to take part in the activity?

As I have said in the previous post, a communicative classroom happens when there is a group or a pair work. When I think abaout preparing and doing an activity, I automatically think about doing it in gropus or pairs, because I think is the most "easy" way to make my students participate actively in the class.

In my opinion, teachers must take into account that not all the studens like to be the center of attention, so it's not worth to obly them to speak openly to the whole class. When it happens, is when the children start to don't like English classes. The main fact is that we have to make sure that ALL of them participate, and the best idea is to find activities in which they can feel sure of themselves.

How would I encourage creativity?

I think that we are used to prepare actvities in which the students do the same, without considering all the hobbies, passions and necessities of each students. It's true that sometimes it's impossible to do 7 diferents activities, beacuse the main objective of the session is to learn a specific concept. But, we have to be always aware of what is happening in the class, and if the activity is not working, we must change it so that all the students can feel confortable and happy on what are they doing.

The main problem nowadays is that some teachers are only focus on teaching grammar to their students, as if the main purpose of the subject was to be the best in written English. In this cases, I think that neither students nor teachers are enjoying the learning and teaching of the language.

I also think that it is very difficult to change how a teacher perform in his or her class, but I’m sure that most of them are trying to improve their methodologies and their ways of teaching English. But we all must be conscious about one thing: it is not only important to use new technics and different methodologies, but make sure that they are actually being helpful in our class. We don’t have to forget that we want our students to be motivated and to be engaged to our classes!!!!

It’s true that the infrastructures of the schools are not the best, but what we can do is to do the best from the worst. If we know that the distribution of the class is crucial, why don’t we change all the environment of the class so that children feel more comfortable and the communication becomes the protagonist? Teachers are used to complain about everything instead of thinking solutions.
